About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation made roadway improvements along S.R. 789 (John Ringling Boulevard) from Bird Key Drive to just north of Ken Thompson Parkway in the City of Sarasota. The project included milling and resurfacing, minimal widening, and improvements of curb and gutter, drainage, guardrail, sidewalks, highway signing, paving markings and signalization.
Lane Closure Hours
- Lane closures were permitted between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
Other Information
- Night work was permitted on this project.
- Existing speed limits were in effect during construction.
- Speeding fines were doubled in construction zone.
